In 2012, we transited from ICI Pakistan Limited to AkzoNobel Pakistan - becoming part of one of the leading paints and coatings company in the world. Built on the foundations of Pakistan’s oldest and most successful companies, ICI Pakistan Limited and with over four decades of expertise and in-depth market knowledge, AkzoNobel Pakistan today is focused on being the undisputed leader in the coatings industry, with an enviable ability to exceed customer expectations by leveraging innovation, global expertise and world-class talent.
The AkzoNobel brand reflects what we stand for. It makes our products unique and distinctive and provides our customers with a hallmark of trust and quality.
Our new strategy for Paints and Coatings is designed to accelerate growth and profitability. This means becoming the number one choice for customers. We have continued successfully on the path of integration with our regional offices in Singapore and Dubai. The exchange of best practices has helped all our businesses to innovate and deliver above market performance.
Our success also depends on creating a healthy, flexible and sustainable organization. Several work streams are also busy looking at how we can continuously improve our short-term (until 2020) and long-term (beyond 2020) performance. It’s all geared towards building a truly focused and globally leading paints and coatings company which will make us the clear reference for all our stakeholders – customers, employees, shareholders and the world we live in.
Our transformation journey is accelerating. We’re fully focused on building the capabilities of our people and creating a more agile and flexible organization to propel us forward as we look to claim our rightful position as the industry leader. We’re making real progress in many areas, although there’s still a lot to do. Having completed the sale of Specialty Chemicals, a key milestone, we’re moving forward to the next chapter in the long and proud history of AkzoNobel.
It is not just how we do business; it is who we are, what we have become, what we pride ourselves on and the path we choose to take tomorrow that makes us proud to be part of the AkzoNobel family.
